ARR bags Public Choice Award for 127 Hours

Music maestro A.R. Rahman, who has already won two Oscars for his music in Slumdog Millionaire and two Grammy awards, has bagged the Public Choice Award for his score in Danny Boyle's 127 Hours at the World Soundtrack Awards.
"Thanks to my fans and the World Soundtrack Academy for the Public Choice award for the score of 127 Hours," the 45-year-old composer posted on Facebook.
Alexandre Desplat, who scored music for films The King's Speech and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, bagged the film composer of the year award at the ceremony.
Oscar-winning German composer Hans Zimmer beat Desplat for the Best Original Film Score honour, taking the prize for his work on Christopher Nolan's Inception.
