Recently, there were widespread speculation that Simbu will make a special appearance in the Hindi version of Gautham Menon's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa,
which has Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. But recently the director has denied these reports and also revealed that the film is still untitled.
Interestingly, Simbu made a special appearance in Ye Maya Chesave (VTV's Telugu version), in which he played an actor. The same role was reprised by Naga Chaitanya in the Tamil version.
